“ I stayed at the Hyatt Resort for a week for a conference and ended up at the Springhouse Cafe three times, once for breakfast and twice for dinner. While it is pricey, I feel the portions and the quality of food was well worth the price. Breakfast I got the avocado toast with eggs and it was excellent and way more food than I expected, I could only eat half of it. For dinner I had the burnt rub tips and the filet and both were fantastic. I'd definitely recommend the burnt tips, they were delicious. Again, they were an appetizer and I ordered them as my meal thinking I did not need much and I still couldn't finish them all; huge portions. ”
“ It is one of the best hotel restaurants I have eaten in. The breakfast Chicken Fried Steak, Texas Eggs Benedict, and Two Eggs Scrambeled were great. The Texas Eggs Benedict, with my newly found Pulled Brisket, was one of the best breakfast dishes I ever had. The biskets were the best I ever had. Lots of bests here. The dinner selections of Asada Backed Potato and Pulled Pork Sandwich were amazing. Both were some of the best I have had. Prices were very reasonable for a luxury resort. The atmosphere was very rustic nature. The views of oak groves, like in rooms as well, made me feel relaxed and enveloped in South Texas natural splendor. Trudy, who has been a server here for the last 25 years, is exceptional and very helpful in food selection and explaining the amenities the hotel has to offer. Overall, like the Hyatt Hill Country Resort resort itself, Springhouse Cafe is a must try while visiting San Antonio. ”
“ Had breakfast every morning during the Presidents Day weekend - the food and service were both great. You can always order out of their menu; during the weekend they also set up a buffet with a good variety of everything including fruit, omelette station, etc. ”
“ You walk in and see a buffet with all the food you could think of. They also have a menu and a kids sections just in case the buffet isn’t enough and they always have plenty of food for everyone. All the employees there are also really nice and greet you as you come in. The only problem is usually the tables have old syrup on them or they are sticky. ”
“ Food was great. Atmosphere inside was cozy and inviting, chatted my heart out with hubby. Staffs were really nice. Only issue was the restroom is right beside entrance and you can tell when you walk in. ”
“ We ate at Springhouse Cafe four times during our stay at the Hyatt Regency - twice for breakfast and twice for dinner and every meal was delicious. I absolutely loved their vegetable ravioli (with an incredible sauce!) and the salmon fillet. My wife got their burger and chicken platter and really enjoyed hers as well. On the breakfast side, the portions were very generous! I really enjoyed with huge oatmeal with lots of toppings and my wife loved the omelette with all the fillings! The staff was very friendly and professional and I want to give a shout out to Michael, Trudi and Juan for taking great care of us. ”
“ We stumbled upon this establishment by Google. I asked "Best chicken fried chicken steaks for breakfast near me" and Springhouse Cafe came up top of the list. So I told my we were going somewhere new and she was excited about it! So, upon pulling up to the entrance there is a check-in point with security. I was confused and puzzled at the same time. When I pulled up the young lady asked me what was my reservation or room number. I simply replied all we want is to eat some good breakfast and Google leads us this way! She said your in luck cause today we are open to the public! That was meant to be! Very clean establishment, with many beautiful natural trees. We walked the hotel lobby and it was warm and cozy. The decor is very well organized and beautiful. The common area was welcoming and cozy. The server Julie was very helpful and pleasant. She did give us a few recommendations and did ask about the country fried chicken steak, however, their menu had changed and Google had not updated that part. I was a little disappointed. Furthermore, it was okay. We decided to with the steak and eggs. I am going to seem biased when I say this. Cause of the establishment and the mixed ethnicity I was seeing I was very skeptical about how the food was going to taste. Surprisingly the food had amazing flavor and the steak was tender and cooked perfectly along with the steak being well seasoned. My mom and I shared the plate cause we don't eat that much. She added a side of scrambled eggs. She was very surprised and loved them. "She said these are far most the best eggs she has eaten in a restaurant" So overall Springhouse Cafe's hospitality and our server Julie were a great experience. To the cooks in the kitchen thank you all for making the food so amazing! I would only recommend one thing, call before going if you are only going to eat there to see if it's open to the public that day. ”
“ Great food, service and venue. Service was outstanding here. Anna at the front desk, Cecilia and all our servers Julia and Karen did wonderfully. Plenty of fresh food options at the buffet, fruits, yogurts, hot foods, grains, pastries, and omelet chef! Loved every breakfast and dinner we had here! Thank you! ”
